Harumanis mango leaf disease recognition system using image processing technique

Current Harumanismango farming technique in Malaysia still mostlydepends on the farmers' own expertise to monitor crops from attack ofpests and insects. This approach is susceptible human errors, thosewho do not possess this skill may be able detect disease at righttime. As leaf diseases seriously affect crop's growth quality of theyield, study aims develop a recognition system that detects thepresence mango using image processing technique.First, acquired through smartphone camera; once it has beenpre-processed, then segmented which RGB converted toan HSI image, features are extracted. Lastly, classification ofdisease done determine thetype disease. The proposed systemeffectively classify with an accuracy 68.89%. Thefindings project will contribute farmers society's benefit, andresearchers can use address similar issues future works.
